If I Had Known

The first fruit of my collaboration with the soprano Rebecca Madden, this is a setting of the poem of the same name by Alice Dunbar-Nelson. The poem's theme is mired in the sour feelings of scorned love, and the words would prove rather prophetic in Dunbar-Nelson's own life.
